This first day, in transition between the middle and high mountains, will allow you to tame the roads of a wild and authentic valley.

At the entrance, we suggest a circuit of pure nature discoveries in the heart of Evolène Region between Arolla, in full assembly, and the magnificent Evolène capital with its typical neighboring hamlets nestled in the Valley.

Your first escape plotted in the Dent- Blanche space, in the land of the cow of the Herens breed will delight you.

Let yourself slip along the valley road on your way to Hérémence. Halfway through the route, stop at the pyramids of Euseigne before turning to the other side of the valley. The slope is reversed, the uphill steps follow one another to reach the high-montage and alpine pastures at the foot of the Grand-Dixence. The majestic face of the tallest dam in Europe stands out on the slopes of the mountain in the course of the sharp turns.

The panorama of Lac des Dix from the top of the building is exceptional.

Difference: negative of minus 1,363 meters / positive of + 1,628 m.

Via Planchet, the connecting road between the Val d'Hérens and the Val d'Anniviers in the middle mountain is fabulous.

You walk along green and mountainous side valleys between villages of Valais heritage that make this part of the country rich. Take the time to gaze at the crossings of Saint-Martin, Mase, Nax and Vercorin. These magnificent village sites will connect you to the crossroads of Val d'Anniviers: Vissoie.

In the heart of Anniviers, at the crossroads of Grimentz-Zinal and St-Luc-Chandolin destinations, the road rises to reach the destination St-Luc. This is the last worthwhile effort before discovering your superb assembly stopover. The view of the peaks is sumptuous. You can see the Weisshorn, the Dent blanche, the Zinalzothorn and even, in the distance, the Matterhorn.

Elevation difference: negative of minus 1,310 meters / positive of + 1,315 m.

A summary of Anniviers, between mountains, pastures, typical villages, lake and heritage composes the magnificent route of this day.

Below the village of St-Luc, a winding road with very little elevation will take you to the renowned resort of Zinal, surrounded by some of the highest mountains in the Alps. From Zinal, you trace a mountain road to another high point: the village of Grimentz, a jewel of authenticity, is to be visited for a breath before the ascent to the dam and Lake Moiry. A jewel of the Alps! Depending on your inspiration, you will make your way back downhill to Grimentz to reach the village of your stopover destination, St-Luc.

All you have to do is discover the Chandolin station and the loop will be complete!

Positive and negative altitude difference of 336 meters

Before you end your stay, you have two options. Enjoy the panorama and terraces of the village or ride your bike to Chandolin, one of the highest villages in Europe.

A short mountain stage of pure climbing, with a steep difference in altitude, for a freewheeling return on the same road. Up there at an altitude of 2,000 meters, in a veritable haven of greenery, nature offers you a spectacular view. Your last sporting dive in the valley.
