Questions on bikes
What type of bike can I rent?
We offer a range of bicycles for women and men, from the brand Thömus, specially adapted for tours. These are high-quality, Swiss-made bicycles with electric assistance.
See our selection -> https://cycloswisstour.ch/en/bike-rental/
How can I make sure of the breakdown service on the Tour roads?
Our trusted partner, the TCS, with its bicycle breakdown service throughout Switzerland, has the right solution. For citizens of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, all you have to do is subscribe to the TCS service in order to benefit from a membership and good service coverage at a very reasonable cost. You can also take out insurance for your bicycle, for the ride and for your personal daily use. The services are valid for one year.
If you already have cycling and e.bike insurance coverage with TCS, everything is already perfect!
We recommend people who are not experts in mechanics to subscribe to a breakdown service, as this service is not provided in the basic services of cycloswisstour offers.

Is my bike ready to ride the Tour?
We ask all participants who wish to ride the tours, equipped with their own cycle, to check the condition of the bicycle with a specialised manufacturer before travelling Cycloswistour. The use of a regular bike for a week or for a weekend requires careful monitoring and compliance with the road traffic code for Switzerland.
If you are not sure, choose to hire a suitable bicycle.
Travel questions
What is the difference between individual and guided tours?
When registering for an individual or group tour, we will provide you with a travel diary with digitalised maps and detailed descriptions of the different routes graduated by force scale. You will personally receive all your travel and itinerary details 10 days before your departure.
When purchasing the services of your bicycle trip, if you opt for guided tours for assisted mobility, a bicycle or tour guide will be available. Your support and guidance will be active from your hotel stopover point or from a location agreed with your personal guide.
How is organised the transfer of my baggage between destinations?
When you purchase your trip, we book hotels for you with a transfer of luggage between destinations if you choose a tour with itinerary stops between regions. The luggage is transported by our authorised transport provider, making it easy for you to travel from one place to another.
Can I get a transfer with an extended service (bike, person and luggage) between destinations?
When purchasing your trip, you can opt for personal services dedicated to your trip in an à-la-carte format.
If you do not wish to travel long distances or prefer small-scale efforts, we will ensure your complete transfer between the destinations of your trip. Of course, this fee-based pay-as-you-go service is tailored to the distances between the sites in the regions you have selected.
Which graduated route is for me?
In order to satisfy the expectations and pleasures of all participants, we have graduated our courses with three different brands. As with skiing, we have opted for the colours: blue - red - and black.
Blue for easy mobility, slow-up, short distances running from 20 to 40 km.
Red for the initiates of bike rides with a mastered practice in the plain and in the middle mountains, intermediate level, for routes of more than 40 km.
Black for skilled cyclists motivated to discover large territories by bike or to ride in challenge mode at a punchy pace. For this category we target courses of 80 km or more.
Note that the use of a cycle with electric assistance (motor) levels the scale of values.
