Vaud Jura – Valais Rhône – Zermatt – Black graduation route

Sport challenge, long distance, for experienced riders. The road along the hillsides and open vineyards around Lake Geneva will take you to the bend of the Rhone in a setting framed by the Alps. Heading for Zermatt!

The stage of the day: direct alternative, along the Rhone via Visp, of 108 km. Difference in altitude: negative of +1,280 meters / positive of minus 140 meters.

Leaving the bend of the Rhône, walking through the plain, along the course of the water, and reaching the iconic Zermatt is the itinerant menu of this alpine day.
While crossing the Rhône plain on your way to the Upper Valais, you have two options. You can follow the banks of the river by choosing a direct route. Or you can trace along the magnificent side valleys as you pedal, sometimes along the noble vineyards, sometimes exploring the slopes of the valley on the middle mountain.
The last few miles between Täsch and Zermatt allow you to admire the exceptional nature that surrounds you. The ultimate reward for your efforts is the exceptional view of the famous Matterhorn.
